Tonight's 5.21 mile training run is dedicated to someone very special:
Beloved daughter, sister, friend, Krista Dean McGee was born on September 11, 1994 and died by her own hand January 27, 2011 at the age of sixteen. She was very outgoing, kind-hearted , loved playing volleyball on her high school volleyball team, had a gorgeous voice, and helped the mentally challenged kids at her school. She was a young lady who, despite the pain she carried.......would always put others first, go out of her way to help anyone in need, never let anyone feel out of place or alone, helped others to come out of their shell and be their true selves, and in spite of all, always kept a smile on her face. Whatever Krista did...she did it with passion!
Her family (parents: Donald and Stacy McGee, sister Kayla McGee, and brother Trey McGee) misses her terribly, but if her story can be used to help someone else, that is their hope and prayer. Please share this post, and your most cherished memory of Krista's life in the comment section below for all to see. God bless.
