If you spent any amount of time of your life living in the 80s or 90s...then you are well aware of the American heavy metal band Metallica. They have sold more than 125 million records worldwide and are considered one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. Their songs such as: "Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets, One, and For Whom the Bell Tolls," have etched a lore into the fabric of our Nation's being. So, what in the world does Metallica have to do with preventing suicide??? Maybe nothing...OR maybe everything…depending on your perspective. Wait Tony, I thought heavy metal music was
devil music negative stuff yo?? Not so fast
I have always been fascinated with just about any person or group of people who are at the very top of their crafts. Any craft…those who excel above their peers. Maybe because I can feel their creative energy. By the way, others who resonate at that same vibration can feel the energy too...that's why those who excel are "popular" and have millions of people following their careers. Art, sport, music, film, anyone who builds, constructs, or creates things…has captivated my spirit. I have always drawn inspiration from their level of excellence. I believe that we are all here on this earth to create beauty for others to enjoy, experience, and be inspired by.
Metallica has gifted the world with their creativity and millions have found solace being lost in their music. Maybe as a way to cope with life...or to draw inspiration from. I really could have put any band or artist in the title. Actually, I could have literally put almost anything in the title. Anything that has been created by thought, through inspiration...from the Universe. That is why we are here...to create (learn more about creation here)! Each one of us has an inner genius that only we can offer the world. It is just a matter of allowing that creative energy to come into your being…then releasing it back out into the world.
I believe that turning inside and tapping into our divine creative selves in any capacity...raises our vibration of energy. The more we raise our vibration...the more we attract abundance (learn more about abundance here). As soon as we suppress our creative selves, we begin a downgrade our vibration to lower levels. Ultimately leading down the path of worry, anxiety, stress, depression, and in some cases suicide. I believe we have an obligation to offer the world our creative selves…so others can draw from it. How selfish would it be for us to withhold our gifts from the progression of humanity? Metallica just may be preventing suicide...like anyone else who has ever touched their own creative centers and inspired. Thank you, Metallica!
